The Ladies Connection (T.L.C.)

All women need to have a “girls night out” every so often.  The Ladies Connection has regular ministry events throughout the year to provide fun and fellowship for women.  Many of the events would be perfect for an invited friend, neighbour, or family member.  Check out the events calendar for details about the annual Mother’s Day Breakfast in May (served by the men in the church – what could be better!) and other events.

Bible Study

Women are invited to meet at the church on Tuesday mornings at 9:00 AM for a weekly bible study.  The group is currently studying “Thirsting After God” by Keith Price.  This book is part of a legacy he left behind just prior to his home-going to Glory in January 2001.  He puts to paper the principles he learned over many years – the secret of drawing closer to the Lord.

Women’s Bible School Class

We have various adult Sunday School classes at AVBC, including a women’s class that meets at 9:30am on Sunday mornings before the worship service.  The Ladies Bible School Class doing a study based on John Ortberg’s book…”If you Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat”. This study will challenge you to leave your comfort zones for a life of faith. It will also teach you to step out of the “boat” of casual Christianity so that we can faithfully follow the Lord who is calling us out onto the risky, exciting waters of the high seas.

Located in room #3, ladies meet to discuss the book they are studying and always enjoy a sweet time of prayer together each week.
